DOWN BY THE RIVER RACES CAMBUSLANG 3k

Club - Seniors & Juniors

 

Five Junior Harriers took part in Cambuslang's 3k Down By The River race. It was a good day for running with the sun coming out in March making it that bit warmer for all of us.

The field for 2017 had 28 runners mainly from Cambuslang Harriers with a few other local Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire clubs.  With the 3k starting after and finishing before the 10k I never saw how everyone got on but everyone seemed happy with their performance and time.

 

The first Harrier home in 5th place was Chris McCarron in 11:56 then with a bit of gap the rest of the Harriers came in like buses. Patrick Saez was 12th in 13:02 closely followed by Kai Wheeler in 13:07 and 13th place.  Finally the rest of pack came in with his first race as a Calderglen Harrier, young Ben Buchanan was 18th in 13:42 and the only young woman of the day running from the club was Lucy Saez finishing in a great time of 14:36.

 

Well done to all, please be champions and encourage your fellow runners in your training groups to take part next year.
