LOCAL RACES FOR JUNIOR HARRIERS

With our own club Trail race only 5 weeks away on Friday 24th  June there is a few races coming up that our athletes may wish to do to get themselves race fit in preparation.  If anyone wishes to do these races then you will need to be responsible and enter yourself / get a parent to help you with this.  The races are

Thursday 9th June 2016 (Rouken Glen Park, Giffnock)

Giffnock North ACC Festival of Running : http://www.giffnocknorthrunningfestival.co.uk/

Childrens races: suitable for Primary 5 to 7 ONLY, distance approx 1k, non timed event and FREE entry, starts at 5:30pm

5k Fun Run: For 12 years and over and must 12 years old min on the day, all finishers will receive a Dri-Fit t-shirt on completion of the run and the cost of the run is £8 and paid on day of entry or via www.entrycentral.com . Race starts at 6:30pm

10k Run: For 15 years and over and must be 15 years old min on the day, all finishers will receive a Dri-Fit t-shirt on completion of the run and the cost of the run is £15, £2 discount for Scottish Athletic members.  Race starts at 7:30pm.  Enter via www.entrycentral.com **There is no entry on the night for 10k**

Sunday 13th June 2016 (Livingston, West Lothian)

2k Fun Run
@ 10:45am, cost 50p, Runners under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult

3.5k junior Trail Race 
@ 11:15am, cost £4 for Scottish Athletic members (age 11 to 16 years)

3.5k Trail Race 
@ 11:15am, cost £4 for Scottish Athletic members (age16 years +)

10k Trail Race
@ 12pm, cost £5 for Scottish Athletic members (age 17 years plus)

Some of the senior Calderglen Harriers will be at this event as it is one of the Grand Prix races (internal club competition)
