Well done to Ava & Ruby for achieving their Green wristbands. This is junior parkruns award scheme that recognises key milestones based on the number of junior parkruns completed. The Green wristband is a reward to both girls completing 21 runs or 42k and is the same distance as a marathon. The next key milestone is an Orange wristband which is for 50 runs which is 100k the same as a ultra marathon.
Here is a note of the bands that will be awarded to those who reach the following junior parkrun club milestones:
Blue: half marathon (11runs or 22k – yes, a little over the 21k half marathon!)
Green: marathon (21 runs or 42k)
Orange: ultra marathon (50runs – a MASSIVE 100k!)
