Fife AC have kindly agreed to host the championships for Scottish Athletics, with Strathmiglo as the start/finish location for races for all age groups. There are medals on offer from U15 through to U20/Seniors/Masters.
The U20/Senior/Masters race for men and women is over 10K with the U15 and U17 mixed gender races over 5K. For the U11 and U13 races, the distance is 3K.
There are U11 and U13 development races, too, but these are not part of the Scottish Championships as Fife AC host their ‘Festival of Trail Running’ and welcome all standard of athletes from beginners in this discipline to Scotland internationals.
Entries are now open online via the EntryCentral website:
All athletes in club from the under 11s in Richard's training group through the older athletes coached by Mark & John are capable of doing this event. If your son or daughter can do Calderglen Harriers Trail race then they are physically able to do this. Great opportunity for the younger runners to get to do a new age group race and for all runners to learn their craft of running. Practice racing makes you better runner and racer.
Again if anyone needs a Harrier vest recycled or new let me know by email or on closed FB group.

PAISLEY 3k
The Paisley Squad |
Today there were many Harriers racing either the 10k or 3k in sunny Paisley. There were over 1160 finishers of the 3k race this year.
This led to a crowded & hectic start line with runners competing from many different running clubs, football teams & individuals. The race winner was a fantastic time of 9.30 but most importantly there were many Harrier Pbs.
First over the line was myself in a time of 10.47 with a Pb of 1.20. Next up was great runs from Patrick (11.04) & Kai (11.46) who have both been running well recently. Then came Ben (12.06), Lucy (13.10), Renee (13.18) & Ashleigh (14.27).
Well done to everyone & keep training well.
Christopher McCarron
Thanks Chris for your debut report on the blog.
