NATIONAL YOUNG ATHLETES ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Scottish Young Athletes Scottish RR Championships - 17/03/19

Big finish to our winter season as we had 3 athletes battling out at the Scottish Young Athletes Scottish RR Championships at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingleston. It's was a  brand new location for this event and it looked like a very flat,made for speed,course.

Well done to everyone who ran the 3k course for under 13 athletes

ROUND THE LOCH 6k

This is a good development race to do and the coaches are encouraging all young athletes who are 13 years plus to enter the Round the Loch 6k at Strathclyde Park in Motherwell. This event is on Sunday 31st March and race starting at 10am.

The Round the Loch 6k short, fun event which attracts runners of all abilities, from club runners who prefer a shorter distance to those who just want to run for fun!

Why sign up for the Round the Loch 6k?
  • The field has a good spread of abilities, everyone is welcome!
  • The course is is almost as flat as a pancake
  • Watch the conclusion to the thrilling 10 Mile race after you have finished!
  • Each runner will receive a memento to celebrate participation in the event - the memento will be unveiled on our Facebook page closer to the day of the event
  • Transport links are excellent with M74 and M8 motorways both a short distance from the park. Motherwell and Airbles Train Stations are both also just about within walking distance of the Park.

Well done to everyone who ran. Good signs of early season performance with good times and several Pbs. Great run from Kai this weekend with a new 5k Pb and 2 seconds shy of equalling his Pb at Victoria Park Junior Parkrun.  Well done to Lewis for participating in his first parkrun and hopefully the start of many more to come.
