1k & 3K Trail Race...Final call!

To all club members

Wednesday 27 June training is the last night you can be pre-enter for free to the relevant Trail Race.

So if you have paid your membership and want to do it please complete a form at training.

Otherwise if you enter on the night of the race, Friday 29 June, you will need to pay the race fee as the people taking entries on the night are volunteers and won't know you are a member. Plus it will be very busy to deal with any complications on the night.

Thank you for your help in this matter, Richard

Summer Break

Wednesday 4th July is the last training session before our short summer break.  A well deserved break for the young athletes, parents and coaches.  For everyone who is going on holiday please enjoy yourselves and come back injury free (that includes the coaches!)
The Wednesday night training will resume on Wednesday 25th July at 6:30pm.  We look forward to seeing you all then and I hope you all enjoy your summer break.

Parents / Volunteers required

Parents / Volunteers required - part-time or job share available!
(no experience necessary as full training will be given)
Would you be willing and able to give an hour of your time on a Wednesday evening?
Calderglen Harriers Young Athletes section is a running club run by 4 coaches and a band of parents / volunteers.  We are desperately trying to recruit additional volunteers to assist the coaches for all age groups in the section.  Over the last year the club has expanded rapidly and we are now operating a waiting list for new members as we are unable to take on additional young athletes based on our current level of adult helpers.
As most of our training is done within Calderglen Country Park, we need adults to act as additional eyes to ensure the safety of our young athletes.  Please be reassured that we will not ask volunteers to go out and do a lengthy run and helpers will be matched to groups depending on their abilities and preferences.  We do however offer excellent development opportunities with funding available to support anyone who wishes to gain a coaching qualification – just be careful that you are not the one left holding the baton!
If you or anyone you know is interested in applying please e-mail richard.lawton3@btinternet.com
