Chatelherault Trail Race

On Saturday 31st March South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are hosted their Easter Trail Running Festival at Chatelherault Country Park in Hamilton. We had 3 Harriers running at this growing event with Chris McCarron and Emma Hutton in the 5k and Steven Cooper in the 1k.

Congratulations to Steven Cooper winner of the 1k event.  A further congratulations goes Chris McCarron who was 4th in the 5k event with Emma Hutton crossing the line in 31:10 to complete a trio of great results.

South Lanarkshire Primary School Cross Country

A few weeks ago the local South Lanarkshire primary schools held their annual local cross country events with the top 10 runners going through to represent their town at the county event competing against 3 areas.  Lewis Moir ran the qualifying event and took silver in the Primary 7 boys race.

On Wednesday 28th March Chatelherault Country Park in Hamilton played host to this county level event.  Roving reporter Lynsey Moir, Lewis's Mum,  reported it was a tough course, wet and very cold however Lewis ran a great race to win individual bronze in the Primary 7 boys race and team gold medal prize.

Further congratulations to any other Harrier running in Primary & Secondary cross country events as I know a few mentioned to me in passing they had competed.
